Note From David. A lot of you are in mid-season and may need a boost. Below are a few inspirational success stories and some great motivational quotes from Premium Motivational Coaching Quotes. I especially like this Vince Lombardi quote: "We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time".

If you're playing the SoccerHelp Practice Games, I'm sure your players are improving. Occasionally I hear from coaches who have had success using the SoccerHelp Practice Games and then start to coach a select team and revert to the drills that are used by many select team coaches. What they don't realize is that I have tried most of those drills and they just don't work as well as the SoccerHelp Practice Games. I developed most of the SoccerHelp Practice Games so they involve pressure and competition and allow you to have an efficient practice with the maximum touches on the ball and minimum standing in line. If you use a drill, try to minimize the lines, maximize activity, have a high ball to player ratio (50% or more is best), and try to turn it into a game so it involves competition and pressure. Also, think about whether it the most effective use of your time - there's always too much to do and not enough time. Remember: Drills train your players to play slow - SoccerHelp Practice Games train your players to play fast and under pressure. If you doubt it, try our Practice Games and then try drills - the difference is competition and pressure, which motivates players to do their best at practice. If you train slow, you will play slow.
