Coach Doug SoccerHelp Method of Coaching DVD Review
This DVD is for U4 & U6 Soccer Coaches.
Why Buy This DVD?This is the most amazing and inspirational soccer coaching DVD I've ever seen and every coach of ages 3, 4, 5 and 6 should own it. If you are a parent, buy this and give it to your child's coach as a present - you will be doing everyone a favor. This DVD will open your eyes to a better way to coach, your players will improve faster, and players, coaches and parents will have more fun. You will be amazed at the results Coach Doug's methods achieve with normal kids. Coach Doug has taken the SoccerHelp methods and improved them with spectacular results. Coach Doug spent a season filming his team and then produced this DVD, which I predict will change the way you coach. Coach Doug's team was 3 and 4 year olds, but his methods and Practice Games will work for ages 3, 4, 5 and 6. You will see Coach Doug take 3 and 4 year olds who have never played soccer, and within one season you will see them play better than most 6 and 7 year olds - you have to see it to believe it. The DVD demonstrates 27 Practice Games, including new games that Coach Doug invented that are not on SoccerHelp. The DVD shows how to teach dribbling, kicking the ball, passing, how to teach kids to dribble toward the opponent's goal instead of their own, how to teach defense, how to teach kids to only use their feet (not hands), how to motivate and encourage proper behavior, how to deal with negative behavior, how to teach teamwork and "soccer sharing", how to get your players to bounce back up when they fall down, how to get players involved with practice, the equipment you need, how to deal with parents and more. The DVD also spotlights 9 different types of players and shows their progress and how they were coached, such as the very young player, the great player who is cocky, the new player who is scared and shy, the very small player, the large player, the player who doesn't want to participate, the player who won't pass, and others. It is a 100% fun and positive approach that any coach can use, even if you have never played soccer. Young children are mesmerized by this DVD. It is a bargain. We offer a Money-Back Guarantee on this DVD.
Similar DVD's We Recommend: There is no other DVD like this. If you want to see a good DVD that uses a different approach, try How To Coach Very Young Soccer Players DVD. For U-4, U-6 and U-8 coaches, we also recommend Mia Hamm Soccer Secrets DVD, Super Soccer Skills DVD and Just Kickin It DVD.
How We Rate DVDs, Videos and Books: We have watched over 250 soccer coaching videos (DVD's and tapes) and read over 70 soccer coaching books. Unfortunately, most are not good, many are a complete waste of time and money, and some are actually counterproductive. We only sell videos and books that we truly believe are the best and worth buying, and that we can give 4 or 5 star ratings (on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the best). Our ratings consider the quality, length and value of an item, how it compares to other similar DVD's, and how well it meets the needs of the targeted audience. We reject about 90% of the videos we watch. If we don't sell a DVD, you can assume there is a reason.

About Coach Doug: Coach Doug is a SoccerHelp Premium Subscriber who started using the SoccerHelp methods about 2 years before this DVD was filmed. At the time it was filmed, he lived in San Antonio, Texas, and he now lives in Central America. He started playing at age 12, played in high school, 2 years at college as a goalkeeper, has played overseas for military teams against European club teams, and at the time the DVD was filmed was in his mid-40's. He has played every position on the field, has coached youth teenage girls' teams and started coaching again so he could coach his daughter, MacKenzie, who is in the DVD. She has been playing soccer with him since the day she could walk. At age three she could dribble with both feet without looking down, pass, receive and shoot accurately. She runs to space, goes to goal with arm up raised and calls out loud for "passes" and "crosses".
